Our client, a respected and technology-driven business in the South West, is looking for a Mid-Level Software Developer to support their growing development team. You’ll be involved in building modern, secure web and backend systems that enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency. As a key member of the software development team, you’ll contribute to full lifecycle development, working on both new projects and continuous improvements to existing applications. You’ll work closely with senior developers, business/systems analysts, and stakeholders in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web and backend applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and improve system performance and scalability.
Tech Stack and Skills:
- Languages/Frameworks: JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular, .NET Core or Node.js.
- Database: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Tools: Git, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Cloud: Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments is a plus.
- Good understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and application security.
- Agile development experience desirable.
