Production Test Engineer | up to £45k per annum | Great Benefits | Tiverton
Our client, an innovative and ambitious company, within the industrial sector, requires an experienced Production Test Engineer to join the engineering department on a permanent basis.
You’ll be responsible for supporting manufacturing and test activities including the development, realisation and maintenance of production test equipment and the provision of support to both internal and external (CEM) manufacturing teams to ensure that effective test equipment and procedures are available to maintain a no-faults-forward supply chain.
Production Test Engineer (Operations Test Systems Engineer) Key Responsibilities:
- Definition and development of test equipment and instrumentation, data capture, processing and analysis.
- Supporting manufacturing and product testing processes
- Creation of product and test documentation, including test plans, generation and presentation of test reports
- Creation of detailed solutions to test rig hardware requirements (hardware design).
Production Test Engineer (Operations Test Systems Engineer) Experience required:
- Understanding of electronic principles and logic circuits.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Good understanding of electronic signal processing and analysis using standard components (e.g. op-amps, comparators, multiplexers etc.)
- Good electronic fault-finding skills.
- Experience with PCB design and associated software applications (e.g. Proteus and LT Spice).
- Experience with Instrumentation devices and calibration.
- Experience of working in a production/production support environment.
- Experience of equipment development, programming, commissioning and maintenance – ideally with knowledge of C, C++ and PLC systems.
- Experience of machine building principles, including safety of equipment.
