Following sustained and successful growth, our client is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Exeter. As the Junior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for managing our in-house test facility and liaising with external laboratories and test houses, ensuring that our products undergo thorough testing, adhering to global regulatory requirements.
This role offers flexibility in its hours, covering 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday
Junior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities include: -
- Product ownership overseeing the compliance and testing life cycle
- Lead global regulatory compliance efforts
- Develop test procedures, protocols, standards, plans, and reports
- Participate in product risk assessments, such as FMEA, to proactively mitigate potential risks
Junior Mechanical Engineer Requirements include: -
- Level 4 (HNC) or above in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline
- At least 1 years’ experience working in a similar industry
- Strong project management skills, working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of global product compliance, including CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65 and other relevant standards
