Our client, a leading provider software development company, based in Exeter is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team and to embrace their values that underpin every action, interaction and decision daily.
This role offers Hybrid working at their Exeter head office.
Responsibilities for the Data Engineer:
- Adhere to Agile methodologies for designing, developing, and accepting the data components of software solutions
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to understand customer requirements and gain insights into implementation for informed solution scoping
- Conduct critical assessments, challenge assumptions, and identify the most appropriate acceptance criteria to mitigate potential risks
- Develop production code and perform code reviews with the team, working effectively both independently and collaboratively
Requirements for the Data Engineer:
- Educated to a University standard with an IT-related degree
- A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role, experience within the healthcare industry would be advantageous
- Proven working knowledge of the following: Databricks, Python, Power BI, TSQL, ETL, Agile methodologies and Refactoring
- Great communication skills, comfortable presenting yourself and information in presentations and/or meetings
